1. Before your start

"Ship & Collect" is an additional module by ShippyPro that allows your customer to autonomously choose the best Carrier rate and a potential Drop Off Point by choosing it from the available map.

Please, be aware that this module might require some effort on your part as the setup process is not automatic.

Moreover, remember that this tool is only available for a specific number of Marketplaces and Carriers, visit the list in this article or check out the Comparison Map.

2. Benefits of using Ship & Collect

Integrating drop–off points (PUDO and lockers) into the checkout process via module or API will help you:

  • Reduce storage costs: With nearly a 100% first delivery attempt, you erase extra costs applied by Carriers for on–hold shipments.

  • Save on integration costs: The IT Team won't need to integrate the pickup service APIs for each Carrier separately.

  • Increase the conversion rate: Offering 24/7 availability, proximity to the workplace, and storage time up to 5+ days. All these benefits reduce shopping cart abandonment rates.

If applied to the return process, it means more convenient return labels and, once again, increased flexibility for your customers.

3. How Ship & Collect works

Ship & Collect allows you to show the nearest drop–off points for your Carriers. In order for it to work, all prices (as seen in the contract) have to be inserted by visiting Carriers > Edit Prices.

  1. You can decide to customize your map with colors, distances and carriers of your choice.

  2. You can embed it directly to your website by inserting a few strings of code inside your webpage.

  3. Pay per Load module monthly fee is based on how many times your customers load your map at checkout.

It will not be possible to configure dynamic pricing for the service.

Example: free shipping over a certain expense

For Shopify Plus & Advanced plans

Ship & Collect will display the Carriers connected on ShippyPro: based on the name and the service connected there will be displayed Carriers prices accordingly. Some carriers (like DHL Express, UPS, FedEx, and TNT Express) automatically send your negotiated rates to ShippyPro after the connection. You can find the whole list of Carriers with this feature here by clicking on Live Rating.

5. Troubleshooting & Errors

  • Is access point information transferred from the Marketplace, or does ShippyPro retrieve it from Carrier's online interface?
If you're using our Check Out Module we'll save the Access Point ID into order details, then we create the label linked to that access point without other actions.

  • How can I display a specific service of my Carrier at Checkout?
Shopify gives you the possibility to set specific Carrier services to display during Checkout.

As a first thing, have you already taken a look at our Shopify Module setup guide?

Once you correctly connected your Carriers, simply access Setting up shipping rates section on Shopify and add there your preferences.

  • How does Ship & Collect pricing work?
You can include Live Rates at checkout and a Drop Off Point Map with the nearest pickup locations of one or more carriers with separate pricing.

From the side menù "Ship & Collect", access the pricing page to find out more about how the Ship & Collect pricing is calculated.

To add more loads to your Account go to Ship & Collect > Pricing and Usage and drag the cursor to the amount needed, yes, it is as simple as that!

  • I am unable to display the PUDO locations on the map on my website.(Your domain is not enable)
The error is related to the domain entered in ShippyPro during the configuration process.
Check the domain by accessing your store and then proceed again with the configuration steps outlined in this article.

  • I cannot see the PUDO points for any carrier
Check the carrier credentials in the Carriers page. If you have multiple carriers deselect one carrier at a time from the Maps Setup page to see which one has the wrong credentials
