1. What are WhatsApp notification templates?

WhatsApp notification templates are the pre-approved messages ShippyPro sends to your customers when a shipment reaches a given tracking status. Since WhatsApp only allows businesses to message customers outside an active conversation window through approved templates, every automated shipping update (order shipped, delivered, delayed, and so on) goes through one of these.

Key things to know:

Not editable: the wording is fixed and can't be changed, including the sender name.
Two versions per shipment moment: a version with a Track order button (linking to the ShippyPro Tracking Page), and a version with a text link you can point anywhere viacustom_link (your help center, a review page, and so on).
Available in 5 languages: English, Italiano, Español, Français, Deutsch. The language is assigned automatically based on the recipient's country, or you can fix it manually in the workflow. All 5 languages are listed in the tables below.
Placeholders auto-filled per shipment: e.g. to_address_name, transaction_id, tracking_code, carrier_name.

📌 Note: you select a template inside the workflow editor, in Notifications > Create new > Workflow (or from a Preset), when you choose the Template for the Send notification action.
