How "Account settings" works

📌 What’s New?

This article is dedicated to the Account Settings section

  • All account and workspace information grouped in one place: No more switching between different tabs to find the account information!
  • Possibility to edit the account “First name”, “Last name” and “Email”: In order to edit the First name, Last name and Email address it was necessary to contact the ShippyPro support team, now is possible to do it in a self-service mode

To access the "Account settings" section:

  1. Log in to your ShippyPro account.
  2. After clicking on your account details (under the ‘Help’ button) in the left side menu, click on 'Account settings'
  3. You will see an additional side menu dedicated to the new settings, which includes: Account Settings and Workspace Settings





Account settings - Profile and preferences

1. Profile details

Profile picture

1. How to edit your profile picture:
    1. Go to Account Settings > Profile and Preferences > Profile Details tab
    2. Click the pencil icon next to your profile picture
    3. In the pop-up modal, click ‘Change’
    4. Then click ‘Choose File’ and select the image you want to use as your new profile picture

 

2. How to remove your profile picture
(removing it will revert to the default ShippyPro avatar, which displays the initials of your first and last name)
    1. Go to Account Settings > Profile and Preferences > Profile Details tab
    2. Click the pencil icon next to your profile picture
    3. In the modal that opens, click ‘Remove’(note: this button is disabled if you're already using the default ShippyPro avatar) and your profile picture will now be replaced with the default ShippyPro avatar showing your initials

 

First name

To edit your first name:

  1. Go to Account Settings > Profile and Preferences > Profile Details tab
  2. Click the pencil icon next to your first name
  3. In the modal that opens, edit the First Name field as you prefer
  4. Click the 'Save' button

 

Last name

To edit your Last name:

  1. Go to Account Settings > Profile and Preferences > Profile Details tab
  2. Click the pencil icon next to your last name
  3. In the modal that opens, edit the Last Name field as you prefer
  4. Click the ‘Save’ button


Email

To edit your Last name:

  1. Go to Account Settings > Profile and Preferences > Profile Details tab
  2. Click the pencil icon next to your Email
  3. Multi-Factor Authentication is required in order to edit this field. If it’s not enabled, you will be prompted to activate it. If it’s already active, you will be asked to authenticate based on your MFA method
  4. After authentication through your MFA method, you need to enter the new email address you want to use and then click 'Confirm'
  5. If the email is accepted, you will receive a message with a confirmation link at your new email address. Click on it to confirm the email address change
  6. You will then be able to sign in to ShippyPro using your new email, your password, and your MFA method

 

Password

To edit your Password:

  • Go to Account Settings > Profile and Preferences > Profile Details tab
  • Click the pencil icon next to your Password
  • Multi-Factor Authentication is required in order to edit this field. If it’s not enabled, you will be prompted to activate it. If it’s already active, you will be asked to authenticate based on your MFA method
  • After authenticating through your MFA method, you must enter your current password and click 'Confirm'
  • You can now set a new password (the 'New password' and 'Confirm new password' fields must match) and click 'Confirm'

 

Phone number  

To edit your Phone number:

  1. Go to Account Settings > Profile and Preferences > Profile Details tab
  2. Click the pencil icon next to your phone number
  3. In the modal that opens, edit the Phone number field as you prefer
  4. Click the 'Save' button



2. Notifications

In-app desktop notifications  

You can enable or disable the following in-app notifications by selecting or deselecting the corresponding checkboxes. Go to Account Settings > Profile and Preferences > Notifications

  • A 'New order' is imported into ShippyPro
  • The tracking status is set to 'On-hold' and requires further assistance

Email notifications  

You can enable or disable the following in-app notifications by selecting or deselecting the corresponding checkboxes. Go to Account Settings > Profile and Preferences > Notifications

  • Product & New Feature updates – Learn about early access betas, new product releases, and feature improvements
  • Developer updates – Stay informed about the latest API changes and advanced enhancements
  • Offers & Promotions – Learn about special promotions, offers, and exciting upcoming events




3. Security

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) 

1. Enable MFA

  • Go to Account Settings > Profile and Preferences > Security tab
  • Click the 'Set up MFA' button
  • Select a multi-factor authentication method from the following options: By authenticator app, By email, or By passkey, then click the 'Next' button
  • Follow the instructions based on the selected MFA method
  • After completing the setup, download or print the backup codes. Use them only if you are unable to access your account using your chosen MFA method


2. Disable MFA

  • Go to Account Settings > Profile and Preferences > Security tab
  • Click the 'Bin' button to the right of the active MFA method
  • Multi-Factor Authentication is required in order to disable it
  • After authenticating through your MFA method, click 'Disable'

 

📌How to log in to your profile if you cannot use the Multi-Factor Authentication or the Recovery Code?

It could happen that you could not access the chosen MFA procedure or retrieve your Recovery Codes, but no panic our Support and Security Teams would help to reactivate your account!

You  send a SMS to the following number +1 (218) 306-2906 📲 (free text) ONLY from the phone number registered in your account.

If you also cannot remember the registered phone number, please send us an email to hello@shippypro.com explaining the issue and providing ALL the following information:

  • email address
  • company name for businesses, own name for private customers
  • One of the following documents stating at least the identity:
    • ShippyPro invoice
    • Statement of incorporation or equivalent for businesses, government issued ID for private customers
    • Utility invoice

 

Active sessions

How to monitor and log out of specific active sessions:
  • Go to Account Settings > Profile and Preferences > Security
  • In the modal that opens, review your list of active sessions
  • To log out of a specific session, click the log out icon at the far right of the corresponding row

 

Logout all sessions

How to log out from all sessions:
  • Go to Account Settings > Profile and Preferences > Security
  • Click on 'Logout'
  • In the modal that opens, click 'Yes, log out'

 

 

Workspace settings - General

4. Workspace details

Workspace name

  • Go to Workspace settings > General > Workspace details
  • Click the pencil icon next to your Workspace Name
  • In the modal that opens, edit the Workspace Name field as you prefer
  • Click the 'Save' button

5. Security 

Password expiration days

1. Enable Password expiration days

  • Go to Workspace settings > General > Security tab
  • Click the 'Set up' button
  • Multi-Factor Authentication is required in order to edit this field. If it’s not enabled, you will be prompted to activate it. If it’s already active, you will be asked to authenticate using your MFA method
  • After authenticating through your MFA method, enter the number of days after which the password will expire and a new one will need to be set

2.  Disable Password expiration days

  • Go to Workspace settings > General > Security tab
  • Click the Bin icon button
  • Multi-Factor Authentication is required in order to edit this field. If it’s not enabled, you will be prompted to activate it. If it’s already active, you will be asked to authenticate using your MFA method
  • After authenticating through your MFA method, click the 'Disable' button

 

Session expiration minutes

1. Enable Session expiration minutes

  • Go to Workspace settings > General > Security tab
  • Click the 'Set up' button
  • Multi-Factor Authentication is required in order to edit this field. If it’s not enabled, you will be prompted to activate it. If it’s already active, you will be asked to authenticate using your MFA method
  • After authenticating through your MFA method, enter the number of minutes after which the session will expire and you will need to log in to ShippyPro again

 

2.  Disable Session expiration minutes

  • Go to Workspace settings > General > Security tab
  • Click the Bin icon button
  • Multi-Factor Authentication is required in order to edit this field. If it’s not enabled, you will be prompted to activate it. If it’s already active, you will be asked to authenticate using your MFA method
  • After authenticating through your MFA method, click the 'Disable' button

 

Workspace settings - Billing and usage

6. Usage

In the Usage tab, you can monitor the usage of the features included in your ShippyPro plan. By using the date filter, you can change the time range, and the graph will update automatically after clicking on 'Apply'.
If no data is available for the selected time range, or if the feature is not included in your subscription, an image will be displayed along with the message: 'No usage found with the applied filters'.

7. Subscriptions

You will be taken to the Plans page, where you can find detailed information about your current subscription.

8. Billing info and invoices 

From this tab, you can manage the billing information used by ShippyPro to generate invoices for your subscriptions.
