How to fix Magento 2 issues

Are you trying connecting Magento 2 but you're facing some issues? Here's how you can fix them case by case:

Summary:

  1. Connection issues

  2. Update issues

  3. Import issues

1. Connection issues

Q: Something went wrong during the connection with Magento 2?

Don’t worry! Follow these steps to resolve the issue:

Step 1: Check your Store URL

  • Ensure that the Store URL you entered is correct.

  • It must match exactly what you see in your browser’s address bar, including http:// or https://.

Step 2: Check your Magento Credentials

  • Make sure you copied and pasted your Magento credentials correctly.

  • Verify each value carefully.

Step 3: Select “New” and “Processing” as Status and State

  • For Magento orders to be imported into ShippyPro, you must select at least New and Processing both as Status and State.

  • If not, the connection will succeed but ShippyPro won’t import orders ready for shipping.

Q: Invalid credentials to access to Magento services. Re-insert and try again!

If you still see this error after verifying or regenerating credentials, the issue may be caused by the number of orders to be imported.

  • If you have many Processing orders in Magento, reduce the number (e.g., leave only 50).

  • Try decreasing the import range in the connection modal by selecting 7 days or less in the field “Import orders from the last ‘n’ days”.

Q: Error 401

A 401 HTTP status means Unauthorized access.

  • Ask your technician to verify your Server Authentication Permissions.

  • Check that ShippyPro requests are not blocked by Cloudflare filters (errors 401 or 403).

Q: How can I know that Magento 2 is correctly connected?

If the connection is successful, you’ll see a positive confirmation message stating that the marketplace has been successfully connected.

Q: Authentication error - Message: Signature method %1 is not supported HTTP status: 400

To resolve this error:

  • Open your Magento connection modal.

  • Enable the option “Magento Version 2.4.4 or later”.

2. Update issues

Q: Why are Cash on Delivery orders not updated automatically?

Cash on Delivery orders require manual updates in the store. Automatic updates are not supported.

Q: Can I update Magento directly on the marketplace?

No. Magento can only be updated once, so avoid updating it directly on the Marketplace. Wait for updates to be handled via ShippyPro.

Q: Why can’t I see Track&Trace updates in Magento?

Magento does not support Track&Trace updates, so they will not appear in the marketplace.

Q: How do I manage M2E Pro orders?

Currently, M2E Pro orders must be excluded.

  • Go to your Magento connection menu and check the option “Exclude external order”.

Q: Why didn’t the status “Shipped” update correctly for orders with several items of the same name?

If the Shipped status is not updating for individual items in multi-item orders:

  • Contact the ShippyPro Support Team for assistance.

3. Import issues

Q: Are there import limits for Magento v2?

  • For Magento v2 → No order import limits.

  • For Magento v2.4.3 → Limit of 300 orders.

Example:

  • If you have 400 orders, ShippyPro will import 300 and leave 100 aside.

  • Once you ship some of the first 300 orders, the same number of pending ones will be imported.

Q: What happens if I use a Third Party App (e.g., m2epro)?

If you use third-party plugins like M2E Pro, order data might:

  • Fail to import, or

  • Import incorrectly.

Q: Why do I see the wrong image for my items?

If different products share the same SKU but have different images, only the first image will display.

👉 Rule of thumb: 1 SKU = 1 Image.

Q: Why is my order not being imported?

If orders are not imported:

  1. Go to Marketplace section > Magento v2 > Edit.

  2. Update the value in the field “Import orders from the last ‘n’ days”.

  3. We recommend selecting a range between 30 and 90 days.
