Connect Maersk Global eCommerce to ShippyPro and set up home delivery, pickup points and returns.
In this article you will learn how to connect Maersk Global eCommerce to ShippyPro and how to set up home delivery, pickup point delivery (PUDO), returns and shipment close-out (manifest).
Maersk Global eCommerce is Maersk's pan-European e-commerce parcel platform. It is the new Maersk integration, available since May 2026. If you still use the previous connection, see the article How to connect Maersk E-Delivery Final Mile.
Summary:

- Errors & Solutions
1. Before you start
To set up Maersk Global eCommerce you need:
- an active contract with Maersk;
- a Consumer Key and Consumer Secret: the API credentials of your app on the Maersk Developer Portal. If you don't have them yet, ask your Maersk Account Manager;
- your warehouse registered by Maersk as the shipping origin. Maersk must complete your account onboarding and link your warehouse address.
❗ The sender address you use in ShippyPro must match the warehouse registered by Maersk. If it doesn't, Maersk rejects the label.
2. Carrier setup
1. Go to the Carriers section and click the Maersk Global eCommerce logo (type "Maersk" in the search bar to find it in a few seconds).
2. Enter the credentials you received from Maersk:
- Consumer Key
- Consumer Secret
Make sure you don't paste any blank spaces before or after the credentials. ShippyPro checks the credentials when you save.
3. Now fill in the remaining fields:
Service: the default service for your shipments. Choose Home Delivery, Home Delivery International, PUDO Delivery or PUDO Return (see Service types below).
Label Type:
- PDF 4x6 (default)
- ZEBRA 10x15 (203 DPI)
Pre-sort: turn this on if Maersk asked you to hand over your shipments already sorted in a single bag or container (overpack). When you close out your shipments, ShippyPro also creates the overpack label. With Pre-sort on, all shipments closed out together must go to the same destination country.
Overpack Customer Code: required when Pre-sort is on. It is a code of exactly 5 characters (letters A-Z and digits 0-9) assigned by Maersk.
Custom label name: optional. The name you will see for this connection in ShippyPro.
Test Mode: this option has no effect for Maersk Global eCommerce. The Consumer Key decides whether the connection is test or production: use the test credentials provided by Maersk to run tests.
4. Click Save to complete the connection.
3. Additional options
Destinations
Domestic: depends on the country of your Maersk-registered warehouse. Maersk operates across Europe, for example in Italy, Germany, the Netherlands, France, Spain, Austria, Belgium, Denmark and the United Kingdom.
International:
- to EU countries: Home Delivery service, with no customs data;
- to non-EU countries or customs areas (for example the United Kingdom and the Canary Islands): ShippyPro automatically uses Home Delivery International. Make sure the order includes the customs data: HS code and country of origin of each item, and the sender's EORI and VAT number. IOSS and EORI are also sent when present.

Carrier options
| Name | Slug | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pickup Point ID | pointid | text | Required with the PUDO Delivery service. The code of the Maersk pickup point chosen by the recipient (for example MSKNL00045e54ec32). |
Shipment close-out (Closeout)
With Maersk Global eCommerce you must close out every shipment to send the manifest to Maersk. Some rules:
- close out together only shipments handled by the same last-mile carrier (for example DHL Parcel NL): Maersk assigns it when the label is created;
- with Pre-sort on, close out together only shipments to the same destination country. You will also receive the overpack label to put on the bag or container.
Returns
Return labels use the PUDO Return service: your customer prints the label and drops the parcel at any participating Maersk pickup point. The parcel is delivered to your registered warehouse.
📌 Some last-mile carriers don't allow you to cancel a return label (for example DHL Parcel NL in the Netherlands). In these cases, contact Maersk to cancel it.
Checkout
Maersk Global eCommerce is also available in ShippyPro Checkout, so you can offer your customers home delivery and delivery to Maersk pickup points.
4. Errors & Solutions
No matching Maersk facility found
The sender address doesn't match the warehouse registered by Maersk. Check the registered address with Maersk and use the same address as the sender in ShippyPro.
Missing Pickup Point ID
The PUDO Delivery service requires a pickup point. Add the Pickup Point ID carrier option to the shipment.
Invalid PUDO
The pickup point no longer exists or isn't valid for the recipient's address. Check that it is in the same country as the recipient and select a new one.
No Routing Available
The lane you requested (origin country, destination country and service) isn't enabled on your Maersk account. Contact your Maersk Account Manager to enable it.
declaredValue is required and must be greater than 0 for Premium coverage customers
Your Maersk account has Premium coverage, which requires a declared value. Contact our support team to check the setup.
Void operation is not supported for carrier …
The last-mile carrier doesn't allow this label to be cancelled (for example DHL Parcel NL returns). Contact Maersk to cancel it.
Close-out error: final supplier missing or different
The selected shipments are handled by different last-mile carriers. Close out the shipments of each carrier separately.
Close-out error with Pre-sort on
Check that the Overpack Customer Code has exactly 5 characters (A-Z, 0-9) and that all selected shipments go to the same country.
Invalid Credentials
The Consumer Key or Consumer Secret is not correct. Check that you copied them without blank spaces.
