🤖 What is an "Execution"?
An execution is counted when a workflow is successfully triggered and at least one action is performed.
✅ Billed executions:
- A workflow that successfully formats the City field of an order [billed as 1]
- A workflow that formats the City field and the Address field and then generates a shipping label [billed as 1]
❌ Not billed executions:
- A workflow skipped due to a condition
- A workflow where all actions fail
Whether a workflow has 1 action or 5, it's still counted as 1 execution when at least one action is completed successfully.
Note: Some actions are completely free and not counted toward your monthly execution limit, whether you're on the free or paid plan. These include:
- Automatic retry of system errors
- Archiving of shipped orders
Real Examples
Let’s break it down with a couple of scenarios:
Example 1: Medium-volume merchant
- Monthly orders: 2,000
- Workflows per order: 2
- Total executions: 4,000
- Free executions: 1,500
- Billed executions: 2,500
Estimated cost:
- 1,000 executions @ €0.0140 = €14.00
- 1,000 executions @ €0.0130 = €13.00
- 500 executions @ €0.0130 = €6.50
Total: ~€33.50
Example 2: High-automation merchant
- Monthly orders: 2,000
- Workflows per order: 4
- Total executions: 8,000
- Free executions: 1,500
- Billed executions: 6,500
Estimated cost:
- 1,000 @ €0.0140 = €14.00
- 2,500 @ €0.0130 = €33.00
- 3,000 @ €0.0100 = €30.00
Total: ~€77.00

❓ FAQ
What happens when I reach the free execution limit?
If you're on the free plan and exceed 1,000 executions in a month, your workflows will stop running until the 1st of the next month, when your quota resets. To avoid interruptions, consider upgrading to the subscription plan.
Do I need to enter my credit card to use the free plan?
No! The free plan requires no credit card, and it's free forever up to 1,000 monthly executions.
How do I know how many executions I’ve used?
If you are on a free plan, you can’t track your usage. You will be notified via email when reaching 1000 runs. If you are on a usage-based plan, you can click on “Monitor usage and subscription” to view the Stripe page with the usage tracking.
Are executions linked to shipments?
Not directly. Executions are based on workflow activity, not shipments. For example, one order might trigger multiple workflows (e.g. a formatting + shipping label generation), resulting in multiple executions for a single shipment, and some orders might not trigger any workflow if the conditions are not met
Is one workflow with three actions billed as three executions?
No. A workflow is counted as one execution, regardless of how many actions it contains – as long as at least one action runs successfully.
Will I be charged if a workflow fails or doesn’t run?
No. If a workflow is skipped due to conditions, or all its actions fail, it is not counted and not billed.
When will I be billed for extra executions?
If you’re on the subscription plan, your extra executions (above the 1,500 included) are calculated and billed at the end of every 30-day cycle.
Can I change or cancel my subscription anytime?
Yes! You can manage your subscription anytime from your Billing settings in your account. If you cancel your subscription during the billing cycle, we’ll bill you the executions consumed until the cancellation.
