How to connect EMX to ShippyPro

1. Before you start

To connect EMX you need an active EMX business account. Ask your EMX sales representative for the following credentials:

API Key (for shipping)
Tracking API Key (a separate key, used only for tracking)
Account Number
Password

Please note: EMX is available for domestic shipments within the UAE only. International shipments are not supported.

2. How to connect EMX

Go to the Carriers page and click on the EMX logo.
Fill in the connection form with the fields below.
Click Connect to save. ShippyPro checks your credentials automatically.

Field	Description
API Key	The API key provided by EMX for creating and cancelling shipments.
Tracking API Key	The separate API key provided by EMX for tracking.
Account Number	Your EMX account number.
Password	The password linked to your EMX account.
Service Type	The EMX service to use for this connection (see section 3).
Label Type	The label format. Only PDF (A6) is available.
Test mode	Tick it to connect to the EMX test environment (see section 4).

3. Supported services

With EMX you can also use:

Tracking of your shipments
Shipment cancellation (Void)
Live rates, including VAT, in AED
Cash on Delivery (COD): applied automatically when the order has a COD amount
Insurance: applied automatically when the order has an insured value

4. Additional options

Test mode: when ticked, all requests go to the EMX test environment. Labels created in test mode are not valid for real shipments.

⚠️ Remember to untick Test mode before shipping real parcels.

Good to know:

The UAE has no postal codes, so the ZIP field can be left empty.
Each shipment is one parcel. Multi-parcel shipments are not supported.

5. Troubleshooting & errors

Error	Solution
Invalid credentials when connecting	Check all four credentials with EMX. The Tracking API Key is different from the API Key.
International shipping not supported	EMX only ships within the UAE. Use another carrier for international orders.
Service not valid (HTTP 400)	The selected service is not enabled on your EMX account. Ask EMX to enable it or choose another service.
Missing required field	Name, phone, street and city are mandatory for sender and recipient.
Internal Server Error	A temporary EMX issue. Wait a few minutes and try again. If it persists, contact ShippyPro support.
Connection timeout	Check that Test mode matches the credentials you are using, then retry.

6. FAQ

Can I ship internationally with EMX? No. The integration supports domestic shipments within the UAE only.

Which label formats are available? PDF in A6 format. ZPL and A4 are not available.

Why do I need two API keys? EMX uses one key for shipping and cancellation and a separate key for tracking. Both are required.

How do I ship with Next Day Delivery? Select Next Day Delivery in the Service Type field of your EMX connection.

Can I book a pickup or use pickup points? Not at the moment. Pickup booking, pickup/drop-off points, return labels and end-of-day manifests are not supported.

Does connecting EMX cost extra? Connecting EMX to ShippyPro has no extra cost. Shipping rates depend on your contract with EMX.

Can I test cancellation in test mode? The EMX test environment may return errors on cancellation. We recommend testing it in production with a real shipment.
