How to connect Colissimo v2 to ShippyPro

In this article, you will learn how to connect Colissimo v2 to ShippyPro and configure your shipments from France and Monaco to domestic, overseas and international destinations.

Summary:

  1. Before you start
  2. Carrier's Configuration
  3. Additional features
  4. Troubleshooting & Errors

1. Before you start

Colissimo v2 is the new La Poste – Colissimo connector. It covers home delivery with or without signature, relay points and post offices, cash on delivery, insurance, customs documents (CN23), returns, courier pickups and the daily bordereau. It replaces the legacy Colissimo connector, whose contract number and password login Colissimo has deprecated.

To set up Colissimo v2, you need an active Colissimo account with web services access. You can connect in one of two ways:

  • API Key (recommended by Colissimo): generate it in the Colissimo Box, under your profile, in "Web Services connection key", by clicking "Generate". A new key is effective immediately and the previous one stops working.
  • Contract Number and Password: still supported, but Colissimo has marked this login method as deprecated.

Please also make sure that Colissimo has enabled the services you plan to use on your contract (for example tracking, cash on delivery, dangerous goods or courier pickup).

2. Carrier's configuration

Follow these steps to connect Colissimo v2 to your ShippyPro account:

  1. Log in to your ShippyPro account
  2. Navigate to Connections > Carriers
  3. Scroll down and click on the Colissimo v2 logo
  4. A connection modal will appear. Fill in the required fields:
    • Label: A free nickname for this configuration, shown in your carrier list
    • API Key: Enter the web services key generated in the Colissimo Box (optional if you fill in Contract Number and Password)
    • Contract Number: Enter your Colissimo contract number. It is also used to identify your contract for courier pickups and pickup point searches
    • Password: Enter your Colissimo Box password (optional if you use an API Key)
    • Label Type: Select PDF A4, PDF 10x15 (A6), ZPL 203 DPI, ZPL 300 DPI, DPL 203 DPI, A4 horizontal, or A4 horizontal with packing slip
  5. Click Save to establish the connection

ShippyPro will automatically validate your credentials without creating any label. If successful, Colissimo v2 will appear as an active carrier in your account. Either the API Key, or the Contract Number together with the Password, must be filled in.

Optional Configuration:

  • Account Number: Fill it in only if you ship on behalf of another Colissimo account (delegated account). An incorrect or non-delegated account number is rejected with an "incorrect identifier or password" error (30000)
  • Fixed Sender Address: Select an address book entry to use as the sender instead of the order's origin address
  • Print Return Label: Creates a return label in the box together with the outbound label
  • Return Receiver Address: Select an address book entry for your returns. The return label in the box goes back to it, and return orders are sent from it. If empty, the shipment origin is used
  • With Signature: Ships with signature (DOS) instead of without signature (DOM). For overseas territories, CDS is used instead of COM
  • QR Code Labelless Return: Return orders receive a QR code instead of a printed label
  • Test Mode: Sends label requests (and the credential check on save) to the Colissimo test environment. Parcel numbers generated in test mode are fake and no real shipment is created. Tracking, pickup points and courier pickups always use the live environment, and closeout is not available in test mode

Congrats, now you're connected! It's time to start shipping with Colissimo v2.

Cash on delivery, or insurance, with DOM DOS
Insurance to a country outside FR, AD, CH, MC, IS, DE, IT, ES, PT, BE, LU COLI

Multiparcel Shipments

Colissimo v2 supports multiparcel shipments. Each parcel receives its own label and its own parcel number: the first one is the master tracking code and the others are additional tracking codes. For international shipments, each parcel also has its own CN23.

PickUp/DropOff (PUDO)

You can deliver to relay points and post offices in France and Monaco. When choosing a pickup point on the map, ShippyPro shows the 20 closest points, with their opening hours. If no pickup point is selected, the parcel is delivered to the recipient's home address.

Cash on Delivery (COD)

Colissimo v2 supports Cash on Delivery, which requires your contract to be enabled for it by Colissimo. COD shipments are always sent with signature.

Insurance

Colissimo v2 supports insurance. The declared value is rounded up to the next Colissimo tier (150, 300, 500, 1,000, 2,000 or 5,000 €). Insured shipments are always sent with signature.

Customs (CN23)

For every destination outside France, Colissimo returns the CN23 customs declaration together with the label, built from the content description, HS code, origin country, quantity, weight and value of each item. Please keep in mind that:

  • Shipments to the US require the sender's EORI number
  • For multiparcel shipments, the items and the shipping cost are split across the parcels, so the order must contain at least as many item units as parcels
  • If your incoterm is DDP on an international shipment, the shipment is sent as duties paid

Return Labels

Colissimo v2 supports several types of returns:

  • Return orders: sent as CORE (from France or Monaco to France or Monaco) or CORI (from abroad, with an A4 label). They are sent from your Return Receiver Address when one is set
  • Return label in the box: enable Print Return Label to create a single return label for the whole order, with the total weight of all parcels, addressed to your Return Receiver Address (or to the shipment origin if none is set)
  • QR Code Labelless Return: return orders receive a QR code instead of a printed label

Book/Schedule Pickup

You can book a courier pickup at the address registered on your Colissimo contract, check the next available date and cancel a pickup. Please note that:

  • Your Colissimo contract must include the courier pickup service
  • Cancellation applies to the last pickup created for your contract
  • A same-day pickup cannot be cancelled online

Closeout

Colissimo v2 supports the daily bordereau (the PDF manifest, A4) for your outbound shipments. Return orders are not included in the bordereau.

Carrier Options

Colissimo v2 offers additional options to customize your shipments:

Option Description
Pickup Point Relay point or post office chosen on the map. Without it, the parcel goes to the home address
Customer Barcode Prints the Customer Barcode Value as an extra barcode on the label. Cannot be used together with Tracking Barcode
Customer Barcode Value The value printed when Customer Barcode is enabled
Tracking Barcode Prints the tracking number as an extra barcode on the label. Cannot be used together with Customer Barcode
Dangerous Goods Category Hazmat category, a single letter from A to Z. Your contract must be authorised for dangerous goods

Label Formats

Colissimo v2 supports the following label formats:

  • PDF A4
  • PDF 10x15 (A6)
  • ZPL 203 DPI and ZPL 300 DPI: Thermal label formats
  • DPL 203 DPI: Thermal label format
  • A4 horizontal and A4 horizontal with packing slip: currently print the 10x15 label, without the A4 page layout

Make sure your label printer is compatible with your selected format.

Tracking

All Colissimo v2 shipments can be tracked using the parcel number provided after shipment creation. Tracking shows the full history of events and is available within ShippyPro. Your contract must be enabled for tracking by Colissimo.

4. Troubleshooting & Errors

Common Issues:

❓ Where do I get my API Key?

A: In the Colissimo Box, open your profile, go to "Web Services connection key" and click "Generate". A new key is effective immediately and the old one stops working, so remember to update it in ShippyPro.

❓ Why is my authentication failing?

A: Double-check that you have filled in either the API Key, or the Contract Number together with the Password. If you use an Account Number, make sure it is a delegated account of your contract: otherwise Colissimo answers with error 30000 (incorrect identifier or password). If you continue to experience issues, contact Colissimo support for verification of your web services access.

❓ Why is tracking not working?

A: Your Colissimo contract must be enabled for tracking by Colissimo.

❓ Can I cancel/void a shipment after creating it?

A: No, Colissimo does not support shipment cancellation. Labels that have not been scanned are not invoiced.

❓ Why was my dangerous goods shipment rejected?

A: Your Colissimo contract must be authorised for dangerous goods (error 32001 otherwise). Contact Colissimo to request the authorisation.

❓ Why was my shipment to the US rejected?

A: Since September 2025, US customs rules require the sender's EORI number (error 30561). Make sure the EORI is set on the sender.

❓ Why was my Cash on Delivery or insured shipment sent with signature?

A: Colissimo does not allow Cash on Delivery or insurance without signature, so these shipments are always sent as DOS (CDS for overseas territories). Cash on Delivery also requires your contract to be enabled for it by Colissimo.

❓ Why is my shipment failing with an address or name error?

A: Colissimo splits addresses into lines of 35 characters, and limits first names to 29 characters and last names and company names to 35. If a name is longer, please shorten it.

❓ Why can't I schedule a courier pickup?

A: Your Colissimo contract must include the courier pickup service. If you receive an "unknown client" error, contact Colissimo to enable it.

❓ How do I fix other Colissimo errors?

A: See our guide on common Colissimo errors.
