FAQ: Troubleshooting eBay Errors

If your eBay orders aren’t syncing properly in ShippyPro, the issue usually falls under one of three categories: Import Issues, Update Issues, or Connection Issues.

Below, you’ll find common problems and clear steps to resolve them.

📦 Import Issues

❓ Orders aren’t being imported from eBay

If your orders are missing, check the following:

  1. Verify your eBay Token
    Make sure your eBay token hasn’t expired.

    • Go to Marketplace > eBay > Renew Token to renew it.

  2. Use the eBay Importer tool
    Manually import orders that didn’t come through automatically from this link: https://www.shippypro.com/panel/admin-ebayimporter.html 

  3. Check your eBay Order IDs
    Ensure your order IDs only contain numbers, symbols, or special characters.

    • If you find invalid characters, correct them directly in your eBay account.

⚠️ Note: eBay doesn’t send order cancellations via API. ShippyPro won’t automatically receive cancellations.

By default, ShippyPro imports the eBay OrderID. If that’s missing, it will import the OrderLineItemID instead.

 

❓ Orders imported without product images

If orders are missing product images, you can re-import them correctly using the eBay Importer:

  1. Go to your order list and select the incorrectly imported orders.

  2. Click Delete more orders (red button) to remove them.

  3. Navigate to Admin > eBay Importer and select your eBay store.

  4. Choose the days when orders weren’t processed, then click Load.

  5. Click Import (on the right-hand side) to re-import them into To Ship — this time with product images.

 

❓ Wrong product images showing for items

This typically happens when multiple products share the same SKU.
If SKUs are duplicated but images differ, only the first image will display.

Rule of thumb: One SKU should correspond to one product image.


 

🔄 Update Issues

❓ Orders stopped updating on eBay

If your eBay orders aren’t updating correctly:

  1. Check if you recently changed your eBay password.
    Updating your password requires renewing your eBay token.

  2. Renew your token:

    • Go to Marketplace > eBay > Renew Token.

    • For more details, see Section 3: General Issues.

  3. Update orders manually:

    • Go to Shipping > Labels generated

    • Select the orders you want to update.

    • Click Actions > Update store

 

❓ How to renew your eBay Token

Tokens need to be renewed once per year to maintain connection.

  1. Go to Marketplace > eBay.

  2. Click Renew Token.

  3. Add your credentials to complete the process.

⚠️ Important: Orders received while your token is expired won’t be imported automatically, even after renewal.
Use the eBay Importer  to force-import any missed orders.


 

🔗 Connection Issues

❓ Unable to connect your eBay account to ShippyPro

If you can’t connect your eBay account and you’re using Teams in ShippyPro, the issue may be related to team permissions.

To fix it:

  1. Give the ShippyPro semi-admin account to the team members who need permission to connect the account.

  2. Try connecting again.
