1. Before you start
TREU (Treu Spedition) is an Austrian freight forwarder. Shipments are booked through ShippingNet and parcels travel on the GLS network.
Before connecting TREU to ShippyPro, make sure you have:
- An active TREU contract. TREU provides four values for your account: API Key, Application Name, Pickup Carrier ID and Pickup Relation. They are specific to you and cannot be generated by yourself.
- Separate test and production keys, if you want to test first. A test API key does not work in production, and a production key does not work in test.
- Access to the ShippyPro API. TREU works only with Dynamic Multiparcel, which is enabled per shipment in the Ship request.
Note: every TREU shipment is created on hold. Your parcels start moving only when you run the closeout (see section 4.2).
2. How to connect TREU

Once saved, TREU is available among your carriers and you can start creating shipments.
3. Supported services
TREU has no services to choose from: every shipment is a pickup and delivery shipment, where TREU picks up the parcels and delivers them.
- Destinations: Austria. International lanes depend on the routing TREU sets up for your account.
- Labels: GLS labels in ZPL format, 100x150 mm, 203 dpi, one per parcel.
- Tracking code: each parcel gets a GLS parcel number. Tracking events are not available in ShippyPro.
4. Dynamic Multiparcel
With TREU, Dynamic Multiparcel is mandatory. You create one parcel per Ship call, and ShippyPro groups the parcels into a single TREU shipment. The closeout then releases the shipment.
- First parcel → master shipment. ShippyPro opens the shipment at TREU, on hold, and registers the first parcel. You get its label and GLS parcel number.
- Each next parcel → joins the master. It is registered on the same TREU shipment and gets its own label and GLS parcel number.
- Closeout → shipment released. ShippyPro releases each group at TREU, and the parcels can be picked up.
4.1 Create a Dynamic Multiparcel shipment
Step 1 – Create the first parcel
Send a Ship request with IsDynamicMultiparcel: true and a single parcel. ShippyPro opens the master shipment and returns the label and parcel number.
Step 2 – Add the next parcels
Send a new Ship request with IsDynamicMultiparcel: true for each additional parcel. Each parcel joins the open master shipment and gets its own label and parcel number.
For the rules on which parcels can join the same master shipment, see the ShippyPro API documentation – Ship.
Step 3 – Run the closeout
When all parcels are created, run the closeout (CloseShipments). Only then is the shipment released at TREU. See section 4.2.
4.2 Closeout
The closeout is mandatory for every TREU shipment: until you run it, the shipment stays on hold.
- Each group of parcels is released with one call.
- Groups are independent: if one group fails, the other groups are still released. Only the orders of the failed group show an error.
- TREU returns no manifest or closing document.
Tip: create all the parcels of a group before running the closeout. Parcels created after the closeout may not join the released shipment.
Important: TREU shipments cannot be cancelled with the Void API. To cancel a shipment, contact TREU directly.
5. Additional options and limitations
Test Mode
Select Test to send your shipments to the TREU test environment. Use the test API key provided by TREU: test and production keys are not interchangeable.
Warning: remember to deselect Test and enter your production API key before you start shipping for real.
Custom label
Use Custom label to give this TREU account a name you will recognise, for example when you have more than one configuration.
Address lines
Only the first address line (street1) is sent to TREU. Make sure the full street and house number are in the first line.
Not supported
Editing or cancelling shipments, tracking events, live rates, cash on delivery, insurance, return labels, pickup booking, drop-off points, paperless documents, proof of delivery and PDF labels are not available with TREU.
