How to connect InPost Italia to ShippyPro
Updated over a week ago

InPost italia is an innovative shipping service that operates in the Italian national territory with one of the largest locker networks in the country. 🌍

Summary:

1. Before you start

Start connecting this Carrier by requesting to your sales advisor all the necessary information. You can also fill the form on their website.

2. Connection steps

Now that you have obtained all your credentials you can start connecting your Carrier to your ShippyPro account:

  • Visit Carriers and select the InPost logo.

  • Insert your Organization ID as well as your Token which you have previously obtained from your sales advisor.

  • Select the Service you are contracted for. Remember that this service is exclusively a national service and cannot be used for international shipments.

  • Keep in mind that service C2C always sends from a locker to a HUB (it's mostly used for returns).

  • Select the type of label format between PDF and ZPL.

InPost Locker Standard

InPost Locker C2C

InPost Italia services correspondence:

  • InPost Locker Standard => Hub2Locker

  • InPost Locker Standard + flag C2C => Locker2Locker

  • InPost Courier C2C + flag C2C => Locker2Hub

3. Additional Options

Use a locker to send standard shipments

Flag this additional option if you wish to start your shipment from one of the recognized lockers. Remember that this option is automatically turned on when the C2C service is activated. If the “standard” service is activated, you can ship the parcel from one generic locker by scanning the barcode and inserting the parcel in the lockbox. This is recommended mainly for return shipments.

Enable the Test Mode if you'd like to make some test shipments. Please keep in mind that this option should be flagged only if you have test credentials, not production credentials!

4. Troubleshooting & Errors

Invalid Phone number

In this case, check whether you are complying with the following telephone validation parameters set by the courier for both Sender and Recipient:

- string: 9-10 characters;
- Don't use fixed telephone/landline numbers but only mobile numbers - The number should always start with a “3”;
- International prefix is optional, but if it’s present it has to be +39 or 0039;
- Don't use special characters and blank
