This feature it's only compatible with CMSs that allow custom code if you are wondering whether yours include this option please contact your Marketplace Support.

Amazon and eBay, for example, don't allow external links to be integrated inside your Marketplace, as an alternative you can decide to employ our Return Form directly from the platform, keep reading to discover how!

1. How ShippyPro Easy Return works

Here are all the benefits you can get with our Return Management Software:

  • Set your own Return Rules ✏️

With ShippyPro Easy Return, you'll be able to set your own Rules and Conditions to decide if an item can be returned or not. For example, you can set Return Rules that allow returns only if the product was purchased within 30 days, it cost between 75 and 500 euros and it was shipped in Europe.

  • Embed your Return Portal on your website

ShippyPro allows you to create your Return Form to be embedded on your website in just one click. Copy and paste one script or simply share the link with your customers. 

Contact your technician for more info on how to embed it as it depends on the Marketplace employed.

Please note that in case you'll integrate Easy Return on different websites, all the requests will be gathered in a single folder in To Ship section.

Easy return automatically translates according to the Country of origin of the Customer to optimize their Return experience!

  • Automated Return Request

By integrating ShippyPro Easy Return on your e-commerce, customers can complete the Return Request on their own only by entering their tracking number and the Return Reason. 

As per current settings of Easy Return, it does not allow to have more than one Outbound/Inbound Carrier combination related to one Rule. The combination will be applied to all Easy Return Rules.

  • Decide whether to accept it or not 💬

You can still decide whether to approve the return request manually or automatically if the item fits all your return conditions.

- If you set the Automatic approval, your customers will receive the return label and the instructions automatically via email once they submit the return request - as simple as that!

- If you set the Manual approval, you'll find your return requests inside the To Ship section.

If you proceed with the Shipment and Label Creation instead, it will mean that you approved the request.

Remember: if you proceed with manual approval of the return and creation of the return shipment/label from the Returns folder of the To Ship section, you will not find the sender and recipient addresses automatically inverted.

Therefore, proceed in the same way as for the manual creation of a normal return label: click on the blue arrow ⬅️ to invert sender and recipient, the result will be a shipment with the yellow arrow icon typical of returns next to the green tick above the chosen Carrier logo.


Good to know💡

You'll need to employ a Carrier that provides for Return Labels: if you are wondering whether yours include this option take a look here.

In case you have set in the Return Rules that the shipping costs are charged to the customer, the return request will not be shown in To Ship.

Also, remember to remove special characters from shipping addresses to avoid issues during label creation.

  • Your customers print the Return Label

Your customers will receive their return label by email. How it is sent to them depends on how you set your return rule:

- If the return request approval is automatic, ShippyPro sends the Return Label of your carriers by email with return instructions.

- If the return request approval is manual, ShippyPro sends the Return Label of your carriers by email with return instructions only once the return request is approved.

Remember: if you proceed with manual approval of the return and creation of the return shipment/label from the Returns folder of the To Ship section, you will not find the sender and recipient addresses automatically inverted. Therefore, proceed in the same way as for the manual creation of a normal return label: click on the blue arrow ⬅️to invert sender and recipient, the result will be a shipment with the yellow arrow icon typical of returns next to the green tick above the chosen courier symbol.


Each customer will receive useful Return Instructions and their Return Label to be printed in one click. All without raising a finger!

The email received by the customer will be in the same language set in the customer's browser.

To remove the default instructions at the top of the email you can disable Use Default Steps option from Easy Return > Email Templates > Steps:

2. FAQS

When can I use Easy Return?

Easy Return can be used for your return shipments if your orders are shipped with ShippyPro once imported from a Marketplace, via PutOrder API or via PutShippedOrders API.


If your shipments have been directly created via Ship API without importing them first, via Excel import or manually shipping them, Easy Return can't be used to create your returns as items' details won't be available.

Also, it accepts only completed tracking status. Check from the Shipping Labels section or Track&Trace > Overview if the shipment has been marked as Delivered.

What if I have multiple items for a single SKU? Can they be split in the return request?

Easy Return is not currently able to let you split your multiple items orders. For this reason, every item purchased in multiple quantities should be returned entirely.

Can a buyer make a second return request in case they didn't return all the items in their first return request?

Yes, it's possible to make as many return requests until all items have been selected for return 🙂

In case the return was completed for all articles, an error will be displayed while requesting the return: You already returned all the items for this order

Where can I find my Returns?

After the set up, you can check the Returned Orders by clicking to Label Creator > Shipping Labels > Views > My return orders.

Here you can find, filter, edit and print labels for all your returns:

Why do I see the wrong image for my items?

In case you have different products, you'd need that each product has a different SKU: otherwise, in case of repeated SKUs and different images, only the first image will be displayed for each one.


To sum up, just remind to follow this super understandable rule:

1 SKU = 1 Image
